Audrey Hepburn receiving her Oscar for Best Actress for her proformance in Roman Holiday
Audrey Hepburn photographed with Hubert de Givenchy (top and middle) and Victor Skrebneski (middle) at a reception honoring her friend and fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy in Paris. October 21, 1991.
HEY REMEMBER BACK THEN IN 1961 WHEN BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S CAME OUT AND HOLLY GOLIGHTLY DID NOT SAY ANYTHING AFTER PAUL VARJAK SAID “I LOVE YOU” AND THEN 50 YEARS LATER SOMEONE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUN TO MAKE A SCREENCAP OF HOLLY SAYING “THANKS” AND THEN WE ALL GOT REALLY MAD BECAUSE THAT SHIT NEVER HAPPENED AND PEOPLE THINK IT’S COOL WITHOUT NOTICING IT ISN’T TRUE BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T EVEN WATCH THE MOVIE?
My new classmate and I were talking about movies and she said that she loves “that classic scene of breakfast at tiffanys with the ‘i love you’ ‘thanks’” and I felt so sorry for her stupidity that I couldn’t say anything.
Audrey Hepburn’s Oscar was stolen from her house, along with trinkets and a Picasso painting. The only item recovered was her Oscar, found in the woods near her house.
Audrey quipped that it would’ve been the hardest item to sell on the black market.
Ed note: Umm, pretty sure if Audrey’s Oscar ever popped up in an auction house, fans would go nuts.
